First, a basic teddy bear, something familiar to crochet. My sketch is just a rough idea, I'm not certain of the facial features just yet. It's something that I'll work on when I get to that point.
Second, a worm on the bed from Adventure Time. It's not an original design, but it is something I've wanted to make for ages. Please excuse my messy drawing, it was mostly done whilst actually watching Adventure Time. I think I can also manage to work it in one piece so it has a nice, easy element to it. Again, the facial features are open to modification, I'm not sure I want a frowny worm. Also, although I hope to get started on these two, I know it's pretty ambitious, so we'll see how I go.
I'd love to know what people think so far, so let me know!

Those drawings aren't measly... they're fabulous! They look so cute- can't wait to see how they work up!
ReplyDeleteI never add color to my sketches, and I love that you do- really helps visualize the design more. I like the proportions of the bear- sweet!
ReplyDeleteI love your sketches. The proportions of your bear are spot on. He'll be perfect for huggling and cuddling. Plus the length of his arms and legs means he'll sit up well and be good for things like tea parties. I think that it would be fun to put a little more personality in the face, but I find that for me the face and personality really come together more when I am actually working with the yarn.
ReplyDeleteThe worm is super cute too. Though the head looks a little big to me in a couple of the sketches.
I am really looking forward to seeing how these work up.
Both look really cute. It is interesting that most of your facial expressions seem very serious - which too my eyes mean they will probably be even cuter in real life.
ReplyDeleteyour sketches are great! love the worm. looking forward to seeing them as they get all stitched up!
ReplyDeleteI love your sketches! I'm especially interested in seeing how the worm will turn out to be. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you everyone! My sketches are only a rough guide, so I'm excited to see how they actually work out in crochet.
ReplyDeleteYour sketches are great! :) And so colourful. I can't wait to see your finished work :)
