I joined in with Sarah London's crochet-a-long (which you can join in with at any time) as a way of using up those odd bits of yarn. I crocheted 20 different coloured rounds using 8-ply dk acrylic and a 4mm hook. The finished pieces measures roughly 118 cm square. Here is a closer look:
I did buy new yarn for the last few rounds because my poor stash couldn't sustain the appetite of the wool-eater. The last round used almost a whole ball. My colour selection was semi-random, I thought only of what would go well with the last colour worked before selecting for each round, and I'm so happy with how it turned out. Bright, cuddly and just in time for the cooler weather!

P.S. Many thanks to Sarah for creating and sharing such a wonderful pattern and encouraging the crochet love!

SOOOO pretty!!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you! It's certainly brightened up my world a bit :)
DeleteI love it! All of your crochet projects are so bright and colourful! I have dreams of making a blanket someday but I am such a slow/impatient knitter and crocheter...
ReplyDeleteThank you! My boyfriend actually asked me the other week if I had ever planned to make a blanket with one colour but different shades, I told him no. I love lots of colour!
ReplyDeleteI can sympathise with not having the patience for larger projects, I often finish several smaller projects before I finish a blanket.
